Brussels (Quartier Leopold)
The International Press Centre (IPC) is an 8 storey building, consisting of 8,000 sqm / 85,000 sf of Class B office and retail space and ample underground parking. Acquired by Pembroke in 2006.
Ideally located in the European Union (“Quartier Leopold”) district of Brussels on the corner of Boulevard Charlemagne and Rue Stevin, IPC is one block from Schuman Circle and directly behind the European Commission headquarters at the Berlaymont building.
The building is well-suited for multi-tenancy, and fully occupied by a variety of tenants, predominantly from the global media industry. Next door to the European Commission headquarters and in the midst of all of the EU’s most important Brussels locations, IPC functions as a hub for international media coverage of European Union activity.
Pembroke views IPC as a long-term, well-allocated addition to our growing international investment portfolio, as the city of Brussels has demonstrated consistently stable real estate returns over the past 15 years. Additionally, the high concentration of diplomatic missions, political bodies and international organizations that comprise the city’s tenant base make this acquisition even more attractive, while also allowing us to diversify our overall portfolio holdings.
