Stephen Bell joined Pembroke as President in 2004 after eight years with Fidelity Real Estate Company. During his tenure with Fidelity Real Estate Company, most recently as President, Stephen was responsible for the acquisition, design, development, and management of a 12 million square foot portfolio. As President of Pembroke Real Estate, Stephen and his team of seasoned professionals are focused on acquiring and developing real estate assets that add long term value to Fidelity`s investment portfolio.

During his 30-year career in real estate Stephen has directed the acquisition and development of more than three million square feet of office and retail space, with projects ranging from small retail operations to corporate campuses. His career includes eight years as a practicing architect and owner of his own firm specializing in the design and development of commercial, residential, and educational properties. Prior to joining Fidelity in 1996, Stephen directed the real estate and facilities operations at Liberty Mutual and The New England, both Boston-based life insurance companies.

Stephen has been active in real estate industry groups throughout his career and was a founding member and chapter President of the International Facility Management Association`s (IFMA) Boston Chapter and is a past President of Boston`s Industrial Development and Research Council (IDRC), and served on the Board of Directors of the Boston chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

Industry awards include NACORE’s John D. McCarthy Award as New England Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year; the IFMA Distinguished Member Award; and the IFMA Facilities Management Achievement Award.

Stephen has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor of Environment Design degree from the University of Kansas. He graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with an MBA degree.
